And finally she did!

While proving that India didn't lack men who were hungering for her skin, she has also retained the title of 'The most downloaded model on the internet' (sic) by dangling this picture.

Atlast, now those Venezuelan and Brazilian babes can go back home now.

Okay, here's a thought, Ms Pandey. How about promising to strip if terrorists stop bombing?
Finally, we'll have peace and you can go absconding again.

What surprises me is how human beings will stoop to conquer eye balls.
While most sane people would never want to hear disgraceful things said about themselves and their upbringing or parents, there are some like our dear Ms Poonam 'I'll-strip-for-nuts' Pandey who wouldn't mind even if the entire nation had labeled her a 'publicity stunt' and a wannabe.

Why? But I guess this will always remain as those things we do but won't like to admit we are doing with an sinister motive in mind.

So now, how do you suggest we punish people like Ms strip?
Make her read all of Ms Arundhati Roy writing. That should sufficiently traumatize instill discipline in errant people like her.

Poonam, please learn a lesson or two from Larissa Riquelme

Problems? What Problem? No Problem

'We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control...'
....goes the Pink Floyd song.
It looks like we are a bunch of people who are resistant to instruction, allergic to change, susceptible to greed and mute to corruption.

BS Yeddyurappa, fondly called Yeddy, is the most recent victim to an era of incredibly corrupt politicians.

While it seems like we as a nation are poor, our politicians are in the super wealthy league. How?!
While his political party is fighting the government on serious allegations of graft and nepotism, Yeddy's ouster couldn't have come at a worse hour.

Caught with its hand in the cookie jar, the national political party just proved yet again on what is wrong with the nation's politics.

Why must an tainted minister get to choose who his successor should be?
How does he think he can even justify himself?
Why must we even encourage such rhetoric?
While it is true that you are innocent until proven guilty, how can we let a minister(s) go with just a rap on the knuckles, when presented with such overwhelming evidence of plunder?

All said and much done, I must admit I am vaguely beginning to love and loathe the way our politicians manipulate the lost sheep (aka followers).
Desperately trying to cling on to power and make the most out of his last week in power, Yeddy tried (unsuccessfully) to appoint his cronies to Law enforcement so that when and if he is tried in a competent court of law, he can surely count on the support of some familiar faces and hands.
A simple case of 'You scratch my back, I'll scratch your back' Later.

All the billions of dollars that could have been otherwise used for the good of the people have been siphoned off to offshore tax havens never to be ever seen again.

I wonder why we even waste any more time investigating any of them, since chances are:
a) The investigating agency/officer will not find any real evidence to prosecute the culprits.
b) Money trails are hard to trace.
c) The culprits will almost definitely buy the investigators/witnesses off. With the sheer volume of money at stake, greasing the palms of a few more people will hardly cost the culprits anything.
d) If the track record of our investigative agencies are anything to go by, chances are nearly all of them will be back in power before we can even say 'Guilty'.
e) Public memory is short. We will crib and rant about this only until the next thousand crore scam hits the fan.
Somewhere in Bangalore and some other obscure parts of Karnataka hundreds of politicians are now gathered scheming, plotting, fretting, fraternizing, deliberating, celebrating.
Like veteran magicians, they are plundering our land while they distract us with grand histrionics.

But on the brighter side, shame on you Poonam Pandey, even Yeddyurappa kept his words and finally resigned.

We love Satan!

I simply couldn't control my rage when I read about how a teen got raped 4 times in just two hours. Adjectives like Barbaric and Satanic come first to my mind.

While many of us live a charmed life and most of us are keyboard activists par excellence, what defies my logic is how we stop short of definitive results. Of course the four culprits have been arrested but its only a matter of time before all of them are roaming the streets again.

Our society has depraved so much that it no longer matters if you are influential or not. Infact the less influential you are, the better (Ala Shiney Ahuja, who was judged guilty by the media way before the court did).

Castrate them!
That's the popular verdict, but I don't think it'll do a jack shit to our proud rape statistics or any of the future victims.
We need to make an example out of our rapists. We need to teach them a damn good lesson right now.

While couch activists (myself included) may label Delhi as the Rape capital of the country, personally I think Delhites are racing to earn a host of other epitaphs. Corruption and a society that appears to have been anesthetized by crime, Delhi is as unsafe for women as Beijing is to a Asthmatic patient.

Where did we go so wrong?

National Capitals are supposed to be the model of social living. Atleast that's what you're taught in school.
But the truth is bitter and many that I spoke to about the rising number of rapes were fatigued with all the 'bad news' that is in the papers nowadays.
But I bet the victims and their families won't be thinking the same. For the victim, this means her entire life is changed. Her family? Lesser chances of getting her married off now.

Will we ever see hope?
Well, as long as we have B grade models like Poonam Pandhey offering to strip to motivate and people who actually promote her by interviewing her and giving her the 15 minutes of fame, I think our chances are slim.
As long as we have people who salivate on rape scenes in movies, our women will be raped.
As long as we have movies where the men (read Heroes) chase women until they fall in love, I think we will have an increasing number of women who will suffer the burden of rape.

On second thought, I think we need to change our religion to 'Satan worship'. We are after all doing all that God has forbid us to even think of. We rape, pilfer, plunder and destroy our own kind and then offer elaborate darshans. Even dogs don't rape their kind!

I believe by changing our secular status to 'Satan Worshipers' we can finally shed the mask of being secular and be of a civilized society. We can finally find peace in the fact that we are following our 'religion' in its truest essence. Satan is mighty pleased.

Mission Accomplished!
Next on his agenda: World War 3
